Internal medicine is a branch of medicine; It is also known as internal medicine. It deals with the human digestive system, kidney, heart, lung and blood diseases, internal diagnosis and treatment of cancer, rheumatic, hormonal and allergic diseases, and the health and diseases of the elderly patient group. In the light of developing new technology and science, the Department of Internal Medicine has begun to divide into sub-branches.

Internal medicine, popularly called internal medicine, serves as a guide for those experiencing health problems, as it is a comprehensive branch of science. Examinations are usually initiated and diagnosed by this clinic, and depending on the condition of the disease, it is either treated by this unit or the patient is referred to a higher branch.
Outpatient and, if necessary, inpatient treatments of general internal diseases such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, upper and lower respiratory tract diseases, gastrointestinal system diseases, liver diseases, kidney diseases, thyroid diseases, diabetes, obesity, rheumatic diseases, blood diseases, internal medicine. Consultations requested from external units (including pre-operative evaluations) and follow-up, care and treatment of patients requiring intensive care treatment are carried out in the Internal Medicine Intensive Care Unit.
